Aight, so I got the new smoker painted and seasoned. I think for my maiden cook I'm gonna throw on some ribs. I would like some suggestions for a good rib rub. I don't mind making it myself, or store bought. What have you tried, tested and would def use again/recommend? GO!

That's two for okie dust. Must be something to it. :msn-wink: a lot of good looking rubs on here. Guess that just means I'll have to spend more time out by the pit smoking meat till I find one that suits me. The wife should appreciate that... Not the extra meat being smoked, but my absence in the house. :roflmaoha0:

I use Rubba Dub Rib Rub from Myron Mixon. If you like a little heat on your meat, then put a medium layer of Obie Cue's Sweet Heat under the RDRR.

I also tried Grand Champion from Texas BBQ Rub recently, and I really liked it. It is a sweet heat rub. It's all about what you like, unless you are doing comps.
