So I found this gal on Craigslist. She sold me all this wood for $25.00. I brought home the branches and here is the final output after discarding the rotted sections. Not a bad deal. I managed to fill both 18 gallon containers and then some. If someone has some other fruit wood, such as apple, then we can certainly work out a trade. I am guessing I have about 40 lbs to trade. If you are new to fruit wood smoking as I am then let me know and I would be happy to give you a few pieces for practice.

Spose they lost a peach tree to the drought?

Sounds like a deal to me!

Yeah. Too dry to survive. Good for me. I am certainly willing to share. Not interested in selling. Willing to trade.

I'm good on peach, but I have tones of pecan, cherry and post oak if you need some.

That's a steal! Never tried peach before. Read good things about it though. Wish I lived closer.

Took the family on a two week tour of Texas last summer. Tulsa to Dallas to Houston to Galveston to San Antonio to Austin and back to Tulsa. We actually stopped at Pop's Pitt in Brookshire. Really good BBQ and really nice folk.

:wow: Pop's Pitt is only 3-4 miles from my home! Yeah pretty good stuff. Only ate there once or twice. But when I want good Q in that area, I usually go to my place. :msn-wink:
