King 5 News, the NBC affiliate in Seattle chose PNWBA teams, Baltic Boyz BBQ, Wine Country Q, and Left Hand Smoke for their Memorial Day "Backyard BBQ Tips from the Pros" segment during the 5 PM Evening News broadcast.

I was handling the grilling station and prepared Mojo marinated wings with Adobe seasoning, Wagyu Beef Rib Lifters seasoned with Bigmista's B!tch!n' Beef Rub and Plowboys Bovine Bold and the Beer Can Chicken with Smoky Okie's Rooster Booster and Okie Dust.

Reporter Christie Johnson did a great job, they were filming for over 2 hours to get an edited 2:20 minute segment for "Prime Time" viewing!

Baltic Boyz BBQ team members Ryan, Kim, Natalie & Nick Ositis handled the Spare rib spot and used the BRITU recipe.

Wine Country Q members John & Rhanna McGee hosted the event at their home in Duvall and gave the Baby Back ribs demo using Simply Marvelous seasonings.

Had a blast!

A lot there to agree or disagree with, but a very nice segment. Why didn't you tell them how important it is to use Rooster Booster?

True!
But 2+ hours of filming and 2 minutes to final product they got what they wanted. Funny thing was, like most people besides us diehards, we had to explain the difference between grilling, low n' slow and Competition/backyard BBQ to them and it just wasn't the debate they wanted to tackle.

The crew was genuinely interested in what we were doing and asked for links on where to get all the items and recipes we used, which US BBQ Supply got the shameless plug on camera, along with with the Rooster Booster and Okie Dust and Bigmista (I heard them repeating several times "Smoky Okie" and "Bigmista" and panning the lens on the shaker labels) just didn't make the cut-I gave it a shot though!

They had the concept of what they wanted and we were just happy to get the PNWBA a little camera time as well.
