It's not much this year, what with the surgery and all. Tomatoes, a few peppers, one cucumber mound, and some herbs and that's about it.

The constant storms and high winds of the spring and early summer wreaked havoc on the crop, and to top it off, I pulled a big weed out from between 2 of the only 4 Serrano pepper plants today and they came up with it.

The weeds flourished while I was laid up. The Okette gave it all she had but just couldn't keep up with it. Now that I'm up and about I think we have control of the weeds now and perhaps we'll get a few good maters.

Anyway, here's a few snaps:

Will they set fruit this year ? I'd love to grow a pineapple or two up here.

Although the plants are only about 5" tall, they are loaded with peppers. This is my first year growing these and so far, I am quite pleased - can't wait to eat some!

It's about a foot tall now and is growing in a container. As you can see, it has one decent size pepper already and there are plenty of others in the works .

We've been eating tomatoes for about a month now but the first crop was meager and not as good as usual. The spring and was full of near and sometimes actual hurricane force storms. The tomatoes have only started to really put on these last two or three weeks.

I noticed yesterday that my Bhut Jolokia pepper plants are starting to put on fruit. I had forgotten that I had even planted them. Pix forthcoming when they ripen.

I skipped the garden this year. I'm just growing banana trees. here is a pick of 1 of the 4. The other three are smaller since they were last years pups.

I was givin this tree last fall and it was in a pot and I had to separate the pups.

I won't see any bananas this year but maybe next.

This one has a total of 5 pups so far this year. you can see 2 small ones on the right. the largest pup being in front.

As you can see in the background., The neighbor has a pretty good garden.
It stretches the whole back fence. Lots of peppers, tomatoes and pepino's(cucumbers) The neighbors are Mexican.:msn-wink:

EDIT:
Mia vicino gave me a little pepino from his garden today.
