there is enough rub here to rub 2 good sized rack of ribs

2 tablespoons dried orange peel
1 tablespoon white pepper
1 tablespoon 5 spice powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tablespoon rubbed sweet basil-dried
1 tablespoon garlic powder
6 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons tubinado sugar
1 tsp cumin

mix together and let sit overnight for best result.

you can also add some ginger to this

i do a something a little different with these ribs, instead of coating with mustard or the W sauce, i use the following

OK, that's IT! I HAVE to make a batch of ribs this weekend.

I like the dried orange zest, I'll definitely add that to mine. I don't really care for Chinese 5 spice on smoked meats, it is probably just my pallette, but I could also be using too much when I see how little you have in there.

Good work!:thumbs up:

you can add more take away some of the 5 spice..i am not a fan of it most times either but this was a rib rub that i actually wrote down when i was making...i actually measured this one out instead of a little of this and a little of that..lol

That is such a fine thing to do when you can summon up the self discipline to do it!

Those look great! How where they? Taste profile? I've made the chinese ribs in the oven using the kikkoman recipe on the bottle of Hoisin sauce and my kids love them. These look and sound even better! May have to try this one soon!

These are different. They remind me of really really good Asian restaurant ribs but better with a nice Smokey flavor. I used cherry/apple and a little oak for.these ribs.

They are definitely not ttraditional ribs. You can taste hints of citrus with the rub.

Cooking, vaping - its all about the smell and the taste!!
