i'll post some pics of it this weekend (gotta clean it uo first, i have been doing some renos to the yard and its been neglected :smack:)

heres a quick description... it has 5 seperate burners and 1 in the middle for a sauce pot every one has there own grill and control knob to do up there own chow, how ever they like (its like a bbq fondue) its shaped like a octagon and even has drink holders:woohoo: so basicly you can all stand around it cook up what you want (and to your own liking) and shoot the sh@#@ at the same time not the same satisfaction as doing a bbq for everyone and having them drool over your master piece but at the same time its great for b/s'ing and having a good time, i have never seen these anywhere else or never even heard of anyone else talking about them, guess i am curious to know if i am the only one on the planet that has one (i know im not) i love mine and my kids love it when they can do there own too (teach em young). talk to you all later.
p.s i'm glad i came across this site, its way easier to use than others and so far i am enjoying being a part of it:woohoo:heres to many post and pics of great q'ing any new friends thanks everyone. jake

Unrelated to your question but ...

I don't recall the name of it, but I saw a charcoal grill that looks like a barrel split in half and has shelves all the way around it. It was kind of cheap made, but was $100 at the local Atwoods store. If I think of it I'll look to see what the name of it was.

Is it anything like a raclette?

That's all I could find when I searched for "party grill" Adding "5 burner" only pulled up standard grills.

Now you *have* to get a pic up, Jake!

Go to photobucket.com and get an account there for free. Upload your pics and size them, then copy the IMG code and paste it in the post. Much better than the local limits.

Now that we have the pix, I must say that is the most unusual gas grill I've ever seen.

i picked it up from work a couple years ago, we only carried it the one year, i think it was the idea of one of the head gm guys. so far i have no issues with it and its a hoot to just hang around and shoot the crap around while doing up whatever. its also been used a couple times for our version of iron chef (we pick a certian theme, be it left overs or what ever and we have a cook off to see who likes whos best) weird family huh.

SmokyOkie

Where do you work?

Jake
07-24-2008, 03:27 PM
@ the real canadian superstore. guess it would compare to a walamrt super center in the states (but better:msn-wink:) we carry everything from food to gm stuff

SmokyOkie
07-24-2008, 03:31 PM
You mean to tell me there's no Walmart in Canadia....I take back everything I said and may just have to move there.

Jake

Pics are kinda small, but I get the concept. Could be fun! It reminds me of a steak restaurant in Houston we used to go to called U-R Cooks. You walk in and choose your uncooked steak, cut on sight and proceed to the grill and cook it yourself; or for 3 bucks more they would cook it for you. They had all kinds of good seasonings to add at your own control. Plus all you can eat salad and baked potato bar. It was a lot of fun. Sadly it closed years ago.

The town I grew up in had one like that called "The Embers". It burnt down and then re opened three or four times.

Rumor had it that it was mob owned and that each time it was "Rebuilt to burn"
