View Full Version : Gas grill problem

Okay everyone, I have a little problem with my gas grill. Its a five burner Charbroil, if I remember right, been a while since I have used it, using my UDS now all the time.
Am having trouble getting it to light on all the burners. Propane tank is full, the igniter works fine, electronic. If you try to start all burners at once, it will not ignite. If you back down to one or two burners, it normally will but then if you turn on the others ones aferwards, the flame will die out.
I work on cars not grills. If anyone has seen this before or has an idea, I would appreciate it

One of two things. You either have obstructed gas flow or air flow through the body of the grill. My guess is obstructed gas flow.

Have you cleaned the venturi and gas path lately? Spider webs in the venturi tube can be a big issue.

What the others said, and if it was sitting for a while with out a bottle on it, make sure a bug hasn't built a nest in the fitting hooking to the bottle. Have had that happen before.

Havent checked for gas flow but I'll check it when i get home tonight. It hasn't been used in a while but I've always had a bottle on it. :sign0092:

Betcha it's spider webs or mud dobbers hard at work.
