As some of you might remember, I sold my Backwoods Pit Bull grill last summer against my better judgment.

I have missed it ever since.

Well, yesterday the situation changed. i have a brand new one out on the back deck now.

Now, maybe life at the Okie Ranch can get back to normal.

Since you got a new toy you can drop off the Hasty Bake I'll keep it from getting rusty for ya:msn-wink::roflmaoha0:

Nice try Dawg, but the HB is made of 304 stainless. I don't think it will rust.

i can get you one just like it if you want one though.

Good lookin grill Tim. Sure looks good sitting out there next to the door. Looks to be a bit crowded again though. I'll give ya $50 for that Hasty Bake. I hate to see it not getting used. :msn-wink:

Sweet set up .. congrats buddy.

They sent me one of these as a prototype last fall. They wanted me to try to destroy is and find fault with it. I did my level best to dislike it, but it soon became my favorite.

If they'll send me a prototype, I'll do my best to destroy it also. I'm seriously considering ditching the gasser and going for a charcoal grill instead this time. So, just let them know I'll be glad to be a tester for them :)

Tim, if I was interested in one, what would it run me? Provided I don't get it off your back porch...

The Pitbull is $1000.00 and the stand is $395.00. For another $400.00 you can get the Boss Hog which is about twide the size.

I know that sounds like a lot of bucks, but it will be the last charcoal grill you will ever need to buy.

Not only does that sound like a lot of cash, that IS a lot of cash. I'm thumbing through threads right now to see what direction I'm going to head. Weber seems like the obvious choice (22.5) but I'm wondering how folks know the temp. I was worried about temp for smoking but truth be told, I've got the UDS for that!

You won't know the temp with a Weber...unless you drill a hole in the dome and mount a thermo...Oh wait, I think the Performer comes with a thermo.

Weber is a good choice for the $, but it certainly has its limitations. The biggest drawback to them to me is the fact that you can't regulate the distance between the fire and the cooking grate. W/o that, you give up a lot of versatility.

Makes sense Tim. My Charbroil is still in working order but I simply won't spend the money to replace the flavorizer bars and grates when I can buy a whole new grill with the same money. Thankfully I've got a couple of smokers for the smoking side of things. If all I have to do is mount a thermo in the lid then I'm on the right track! I happen to have a source for some really good thermo's!

But the pit bull has a picture of Tim on it ... how can you turn away from that at any cost???:roflmaoha0: :roflmaoha0:

I don't think you would want to use a Tel Tru on the lid of the weber, I think it would be too heavy and you would tend to drop the lid on it. Seriously, if you are thinking Weber, check out the performer (http://www.weber.com/explore/grills/charcoal-series/performer).
